National Night Out
This year the 28th National Night Out (NNO) will be on Tuesday August 2nd. My neighborhood has planned a get together and cookout.
Last year the NNO citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide got together. In 2010, over 37 million people participated in National Night Out
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Strengthen crime and drug prevention
- Create support and raise participation in local anti-crime programs
- Enhance neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

It is not too late to organize your own neighborhood event.

When you visit the Woodland Park Zoo, plan on spending at least four to six hours to really enjoy all the exhibits and displays. There are more than 300 animals living here in their natural habitat and there are more than 65 acres of beautiful, natural exhibits. Come see the Snow leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, and hippos and more here at Woodland Park Zoo Seattle.

Are you aware that airline passengers have a right to be treated fairly? Airlines are now required to refund any fee for carrying a bag if the bag is permanently lost. Airlines are already required to compensate passengers for reasonable expenses for loss, damage, or delay in the carriage of passenger baggage. All airlines must disclose all additional fees. When you are bumped from a flight, you are entitled to cash compensation equal to the value of the tickets, up to $400. If it is a lengthy delay, you are entitled up to $800. Remember, you can only be held on a tarmac for 4 hours.
